by Nicetos E. Rosaria & Benito M. Pacheco (2002).  Proceedings of the ASEP Seminar on the 2001 National Structural Code of the Philippines.  Quezon City, Philippines.  Association of Structural Engineers of the Philippines (ASEP).

Abstract:  The 2001 Edition of the National Structural Code of the Philippines has several major new features especially in its wind loading provisions. This paper provides engineers the background information for better understanding and appreciation of the new wind load provisions of NSCP 2001. The basic differences from the previous edition are presented. Background is presented on how the new wind map, that matches the new code, was derived, and new provisions are discussed. Finally, comparisons of wind pressures calculated using the old and new wind provisions are presented for examples of low-rise and high-rise buildings.
