29th International Modal Analysis Conference (IMAC-XXIX)

The IMAC is a Conference and Exposition on Structural Dynamics.  The IMAC conference theme highlights specific technologies of interest to the IMAC community. The theme for IMAC-XXIX is Advanced Aerospace Applications.

Within the theme, questions to be addressed include: “What is the IMAC community doing for the aerospace sector?” and “What new challenges does the aerospace industry bring to the modal community?” Sessions will be developed in all areas of structural dynamics with applications to aerospace structures for both flight and space: modeling, vibration, control, identification, simulation uncertainty, model validation and verification, modal analysis and design, and testing. We also seek papers regarding aeroelasticity issues, hardware components (landing gear, etc), morphing aircraft, UAVs/MAVs as well as full sized aircraft, both military and civilian. Helicopter applications are particularly welcome. Satellite modeling and vibration issues are also of interest both in launch and in service modes.

IMAC-XXIX will be held on Jan. 31 – Feb. 3, 2011 at the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront, Jacksonville, Florida, USA.  Pre-conference workshops will be held on Jan. 28 - 31, 2011.
